The unit for Dental eHealth in Reconstructive Dentistry strives to improve oral health across all populations. The primary aim is to define minimal standards of care based on the structured collection and analysis of health data; and secondary, the development of predictive models for treatment planning and outcome simulation in reconstructive and implant dentistry. The group intends to conduct cutting-edge research with a translational approach in continuous exchange with top-class universities, MedTech industry and start-ups.
Multi-disciplinarity, agility and innovation are the core competences. The unit is internationally networked and combines oral health with medicine, economics, data science as well as biomedical engineering using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). With our research we aim to promote personalized reconstructive and implant dentistry based on evidence and paired with structured health data: safe, trustworthy and reliable.
