Orofacial pain is one of the most common pain conditions apart from headaches and musculoskeletal pain and is frequently associated with high pain-related disability and high rates of psychosocial distress.
Our research focuses on:
interdisciplinary clinical assessment and management of chronic orofacial pain patients.
investigating pain and sleep by means of digital self-report instruments, linguistic features, quantitative sensory testing, biosignal analysis and imaging techniques.
analyzing biomechanical parameters associated with temporomandibular joint function and dysfunction.
